How do I make it?

NEW! Backing track with metronome clicks is now available for you to practice with!

Follow these simple steps to make your own!
  1. Practice your music with the backing track or the practice video a few times. Sheet music is available here.
  2. Make sure you have a device to stream the music (the backing track, not the video)! For best quality, use a device that has a good external speaker.
  3. Have a recording device - it can be your tablet, phone, camcorder, or your computer. Make sure your device can also capture sound.
  4. Run your recording device before you start streaming the backing track. You might also want to say your holiday message to the card receiver during this time (optional).
  5. Start the backing track.
  6. Play your part after the introduction.
  7. Make sure you smile after you play!
  8. If you have other messages to include at the end, you may do so after the backing track finishes (optional).
  9. And you're all done!

Tips: You can also use software/apps like iMovie to add texts and other effects.

If you have any questions or difficulties, please email us at info@musissho.org and we'll be more than happy to assist. Happy Holidays from the Musissho Team!

Please note that the key for the violin is different than the one in the Suzuki Method Book. Instead of starting on the E string, start on the A string. If you go through the piece with the same fingering, it will match our backing track.

Violin (Easy) part is designed for musicians who are not yet comfortable with shifting.
Violin (Advanced) part is designed for musicians who are able to play comfortably in 3rd position.

Viola and Cello parts are in the same key as the one in the Suzuki Method Book.

Harp part is an original arrangement by Jillian Risigari-Gai Lopez.

Here is an example of how the video you make can look like! This recorded with backing track sound coming through the speakers with no editing made. Title texts were added using iMovies. Please feel free to use this video to practice with as well!
