I wanted to introduce the way I have taught music reading at early stages. I am personally doing this with my daughter currently who is 6 years old, and I have done this with my son who is now 8 years old, who learned it at a summer camp I taught two years ago. 

Materials Needed:

• 7 different colored felts
• Some index cards or card stock paper
• Fabric Markers
• Sharpies, markers, or a pen
• Scissors
• Manila folder
• Small ziplock bag (snack-sized or sandwich-sized should be sufficient)
• Print-out of the document found below
